Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Devgram was started in the year 1996.The college is managed by the society, Antyodaya Mission, Devgram founded by philanthropists Dr. Bhausaheb Bhoge. It is one of the colleges in the rural part of Nagpur region catering the needs of students in Arts, Commerce & Science faculty including vocational course. Considering the demand and need of local students, apart from UG the college started PG courses to reduce the sufferings of the students. The college has got permanent affiliation, acquired 2F & 12b, availed various UGC grants and satisfactorily faced NAAC in first cycle.

With around 1200 students on roll and around 50 teaching and non-teaching staff, the college caters to a wide cross section of the society, from conventional courses like Arts, Commerce, Science to Vocational B.Voc Degree Programme and Community College (Certificate/ Diploma) Programme. In due course of time, the college is going to start the facility of women’s hostel and Indoor Sports Complex. The college has 13 acres of lush and green campus. The college is committed to strengthen and reinforce affordable programmes in terms of quality and expanding educational needs to prepare our students for global challenges.

Besides rigorous academic programmes various activities, several interactive sessions, seminar, conferences, group-discussions have continued to be the benchmarks of JVM. The students are encouraged to participate in a variety of co-curricular activities like dance, art, debate, sports and social work including environmental conservation activities. We believe that it is important for our students to explore and find their strengths in order to reach their true potential as the main aim of the institution is to nurture a self-confident individual.
